Fall DFGC Meeting

Five members of Plantation Lakes Garden Club traveled to Newark, Delaware, to attend a Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs meeting on November 16. If you're a member of DFGC and never attended a statewide meeting, let us tell you a little about the experience.

Upon arrival we were treated to a beautiful hot breakfast buffet, not just the usual cold pastries and coffee that one might expect. The business meeting was interesting, with reports by the officers and key committee chairs, and included the election of executive officers for the upcoming two-year term. Another fabulous meal followed, assuring that no one who attended this meeting would leave hungry. (And we can attest that the $30 cost of attending the meeting was a bargain!)

Members of the DFGC Judges Council created eight stunning holiday designs. What creative people we have in this organization! The DFGC photographer and webmaster posted photos of these designs, table centerpieces, and several participants on the DFGC website , for the benefit of DFGC members who did not attend.
