Plant Sale Success!

The PLGC Expo and fall plant sale was a successful fundraiser for our club projects, in spite of the rainy weather. Plant shoppers were treated to signage and handouts describing some of our community projects, as they shopped for the "perfect" plants for their yards.
A limited supply of plants was available for purchase by our neighbors on the day of the sale and pre-ordered flowers were picked up throughout the day. Congratulations to Ways & Means Committee Chair Tina Latshaw and her team. GREAT JOB!
Meanwhile, Marie VanDerWall had spring-blooming pink bulbs available for purchase, as part of our Plant It Pink project promoting breast cancer awareness. Marie and Debbie Darr did a great job with this, also selling out the pink hyacinths, tulips, and anemone.
Our next plant sale will take place on the first Saturday in May, so mark your calendar now. To assure your choice of plant type and size, you will want to watch this blog for information in early April.
