Come Grow With Us

Would you like to meet your neighbors, make new friends, learn new skills, discover new interests and start enjoying a healthier lawn and plants (or patio area if you live in a townhome)? If you answer "yes" to any of these, Plantation Lakes Garden Club may be a good match for you. Please visit one of our meetings - no obligation to join, of course.

How to Join PLGC

Thanks! Message sent.

New members are welcome, whether you are a total novice with no past gardening experience or an expert... and whether you live in a townhome or a single family home. Our members share common interests but prioritize them differently. It doesn't matter if your interests are primarily home gardening, community beautification, floral design, conservation, house plants or fun field trips - all of these are included in our programs or activities and there no obligation to attend any that don't interest you. Snow birds (who spend the winter in Florida or elsewhere) are welcome!

Since many of our members join garden club to meet their neighbors and become involved in our community, membership is limited to residents of the Plantation Lakes community. Prospective members may attend up to three garden club meetings as a guest so they can get to know the current members and what we do as a club. New members may join at any of those three meetings upon payment of $40 annual dues and completion of an application for membership. As a member of this local garden club, you will also enjoy the many resources available to member clubs through National Garden Clubs (NGC), Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs (CAR-SGC) and Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs (DFGC).

If you would like to attend one of our meetings as a guest, please RSVP by completing the information box on this page and clicking the send button. Membership Chair Margaret Woda will contact you with information about the next meeting -- the date, time, location and program details. No obligation is implied ... just come and meet our members and learn about our activities, programs and projects. Even if you decide not to join, we welcome new "Friends of PLGC."

You can download the Membership Flier & New Member Application to complete and bring it to your first meeting.
