PLGC Activities 2020-2021

All Plantation Lakes Garden Club activities are subject to change, due to state-mandated Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines. PLGC members should check the MEMBERS area of our website, where announcements will be made in the event of any changes to date, time, or format of our scheduled events.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES - Welcome community residents

Plantation Lakes residents are invited each year to several activities or events sponsored by Plantation Lakes Garden Club. Check out our EVENTS page on this website to see the dates for our plant sales and special events, including the opening of a new Children's Garden in Plantation Lakes. Our service projects would not be possible without your support.
NOTE: State-mandated COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines have limited our public events at this time. However, we have created a page on this website to keep you updated on progress with our Blue Star Memorial.

PLGC PROGRAMS - Educate and entertain our members

The highlight of each PLGC monthly meeting is the program presented by a local expert on a topic of interest to members. Prospective members are invited to attend as guests, but we do ask you to RSVP via the CONTACT tab at the top of this page so we have enough chairs and handouts. Our program topics and formats are varied from month to month, and we enjoy additional programs and activities that are not listed on this official schedule of programs.
NOTE: State-mandated Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines have resulted in changes to our meeting locations and programs. PLGC members will be notified of changes by email. Prospective members should use the CONTACT tab at the top of this page to inquire about our 2020-2021 programs.

PLGC PROJECTS - Serve our community

Many people will benefit from our projects, in addition to our club members: Susan G. Komen for the Cure, local veterans, students at East Millsboro Elementary, patients at Atlantic Shores Rehab & Health Center, and residents and visitors to our community. We have more than a dozen projects for the 2020-2021 garden club year and we encourage participation by prospective members. LEARN MORE

PLGC COMMITTEES - Turn ideas into results

Serving on at least one committee is a requirement of membership in Plantation Lakes Garden Club. No matter what your interests or skills, there's sure to be one that provides you an opportunity to get involved. Some committees are literally one-person jobs, such as preparing an article for the quarterly Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs newsletter or maintaining our website, while others may involve working with a dozen other members to hold a plant sale.
