WHO WE ARE…

Plantation Lakes Garden Club (PLGC) was established in 2016 by twelve residents in February 2016. We were accepted into National Garden Clubs, Inc. and Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs in March 2016 and joined Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Club, Inc. (CAR-SGC) when it was formed in October 2016.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization,  Our affiliation with these three organizations provides our club and members with optional resources that include training, support and monetary grants while encouraging autonomy for PLGC members to focus on our own local area and state.

 

OUR OBJECTIVE…

To support the interests of our members and the objectives of National Garden Clubs, Inc and Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. through activities in our club and community that promote home gardening, community beautification, floral design, horticulture and conservation.

“Versatility of Gardening” is our theme for 2023-2024 with the goal of welcoming additional members, expanding our knowledge and serving our community.

 

WHEN WE MEET

We gather monthly at 11:00 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month, September to June, for hands-on activities, educational programs, field trips and other activities. 

We take pride in our many service projects, including the Blue Star Memorial and Pollinator Garden to honor members of the U.S. Armed Forces. We create and share May Baskets each year to “beautify our community one front door at a time.” We help young gardeners plant and maintain a community garden near the Plantation Lakes East swimming pool. And we invite your participation in planning our future!
